Artistry & Vision
"It's not just about technical skill - it's about intention, about what drives a piece and transforms it from a random drawing into something that resonates."

About the Artist
I've been drawing for as long as I can remember - one of my earliest memories is sketching a horse in a little notebook I had at age six. That childhood fascination with capturing life on paper eventually led me to major in Studio Art, where I discovered what actually makes art meaningful.
I work primarily in graphite and oil paint, though I've recently fallen in love with digital art for its convenience. But regardless of medium, what draws me to portraiture is the same: the intimacy of truly seeing someone. When you spend hours studying a person's face - whether they're sitting in front of you or looking back from a photograph - you start to wonder about their story.
What experiences shaped them? What are their dreams, their fears, their driving forces? There's something almost sacred about trying to capture not just someone's likeness, but their spirit - the essence of who they are.
Memorial Commissions
Losing someone you love is one of life's most difficult experiences. I create memorial artwork to help honor and preserve the memory of those who have passed - whether that's a beloved family member, friend, or cherished pet.

Process & Detail
I work in pencil and colored pencil on paper, oil paint on canvas, or digital art. Most memorial pieces are close-up portraits, but I'm open to including meaningful details like favorite places, objects, or symbolic elements that capture your loved one's spirit.
Accessibility
We'll start with a conversation over phone, email, or text about what you're envisioning. You'll share high-resolution photos with me, and we can discuss options that fit both your vision and your budget. I believe art should be accessible to everyone, not just those with deep pockets, so I work with clients to find pricing that honors both the work and what you can afford.
